A little about me…

I’m Jenna, a fifth year cantorial student at HUC-JIR’s DFSSM, and I am thrilled to connect with you.

Prior to HUC, I spent two years as a full-time educator at Central Synagogue, where I specialized in Shabbat, music, and t’filah for grades K-6. My time in New York City allowed me to teach religious school and to assist with the youth groups of Brooklyn Heights Synagogue and Congregation Rodeph Sholom. I was honored to spend my year in Israel as the Cantorial Intern at Kehilat Har-El, Israel’s oldest Reform congregation and three years at Congregation B’nai Jeshurun in Short Hills, New Jersey as their Cantorial Intern.

I am originally from Houston, Texas and earned a BFA in Theatre Performance from Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Nebraska. I am a proud alumna of NFTY-TOR, URJ’s Greene Family Camp and Kutz Camp. I received a Masters Concentration as a part of the iCenter Israel Education Fellowship program, and was a part of the ARZA HUC-JIR Clergy Fellowship. I am proud to be serving as the Cantorial Intern at Temple Shaaray Tefila in New York City during my final year of school.

When I’m not at school or the synagogue, I can usually be found curled up with a book, dreaming about getting a dog, or playing Ticket to Ride with my fiancé in our home in Stamford, Connecticut.
